When it comes to being told what to do with animation and having the freedom to use your own ideas, I think that I like the second better. You are so restrained as a person when you are told what to do and everyonehas somewhat similar ideas with regards to the assignments so far. Now though that everyonehas the freedom to choose their own idea for a film it brings in a whole array of new things that wouldn't be so common. When listening to everyones pitch in class it became a whole lot more interesting because everyone had different ideas and stories to tell about a "scar" they had recieved.
Since we have the freedom of picking which scar we would like to do, it makes it a lot more interesting than if we were just told what to do because their couldbe a lot more background to it. I specifically chose the scar on my cheek from when I was younger and got bit my a dog to do because it is something that will allow me to think outaide the box on how I want to portray it to the audience. Having a very open ended topic to choose from is a whole lot easier than one that would be closed.
While thinking about how I am going to show this scar in animation form I am really leaning towards doing stop motion through pictures because it would be able to add more drama to the event and would be a better way to create it than some of the other types of crewating animation. I keep thinking about e different ways I could go about adding the photos together to show the event and what all to do to get my scar accross to people without having to actually use words or music to aid and provide the viewers with a solid picture... Going to keep thinking about the different ways that I could create the scene.
